Moore Earns Honorary Degree and Retires
On December 16, 1984, Pastor Moore earned an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree for his contribution in educating so many of his associates in the Gospel Ministry. This degree was conferred upon him by the Reverend J. Haskell Mayo, Bishop of the 16th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church. (Read more about Pastor Moore)
Pastor Moore faithfully served Central Baptist Church as its Organizer, Pastor, and Spiritual Leader for 23 1/2 years. On November 22, 1987, he retired from this pastorate.
